FINXI Privacy Policy

1. Data we collect

Depending on the features you use, the app may process the following data:

• Sign-in identifiers, such as your Firebase user uid, and necessary information returned by Google or Apple sign-in providers.
• Financial and bookkeeping data, such as accounts, transactions, recurring income and expenses, asset adjustments and related settings.
• Securities data, such as stock symbols, holdings, transaction records, profit or loss, currency conversions and refresh results.
• DIARY data, such as dates, mood, energy, highlights, gratitude, reflections, free-form notes and tasks.
• App settings and preferences, such as themes, fonts, language and app icons.
• Local backup and sync data, such as snapshots, last update times, sync status and data stored on your device.
• Usage frequency and technical usage data, such as app launches, main page views, feature usage counts, cloud upload volume, API request counts, request status, data volume, app version and platform information. These records may include your Firebase uid, email and plan type to summarize beta testing, debugging and capacity assessments.

2. How we use this data

This data is used only to provide FINXI's core features, including bookkeeping, asset management, securities tracking, DIARY, sync, backup, import and export, and interface preferences.

We also use necessary data to determine whether the cloud or local copy is newer, to avoid overwriting local data with cloud data without your confirmation.

During beta testing and operation, we collect usage frequency, API usage and cloud sync volume statistics to improve stability, fix bugs, assess system costs and prioritize features.

3. Data storage and sync

FINXI uses a local-first design:

• Your data is saved on your device first.
• Data syncs to Firebase Firestore according to the sync rules only after you sign in to the cloud.
• Local data may be cached in localStorage, IndexedDB, Cache Storage or native storage.
• Cloud sync uses your Firebase uid as its identifier, rather than email as the primary key.

4. Third-party services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication and Firestore for sign-in and cloud sync.
• Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In for authentication.
• Market data APIs / the Railway backend for exchange rates, Taiwan and US stock prices and historical data.
• The Railway backend / Google Sheets to receive usage frequency, API usage and sync volume statistics. This data is used only for product maintenance, debugging, capacity assessments and feature improvements, not for advertising tracking across apps or websites.

These services may process necessary technical information under their own policies.

5. Sharing your data

We do not arbitrarily sell or share your personal data, except in the following circumstances:

• You explicitly authorize us to sync, export or restore data.
• Required by law, court order or a competent authority.
• Necessary to provide sign-in, sync, backup, exchange rates or market data queries.
• Necessary for beta tracking, troubleshooting or API/sync capacity monitoring, and limited to FINXI maintenance purposes.

We do not sell your personal data or use your financial, bookkeeping, securities or DIARY content for third-party advertising tracking.

6. Your control over your data

Within the app, you can:

• Add, edit or delete bookkeeping, securities and DIARY data.
• Export JSON backups, import backups or restore earlier snapshots.
• Clear data from your device.
• Sign out of your cloud account or delete your account and associated cloud data.
• Contact us to request deletion of or assistance with usage frequency records.

7. Account deletion

To delete your account and related data, use the account deletion feature in the app or contact us for assistance. Deleting your account in the app removes FINXI cloud sync data, subscription status records and usage frequency records, and clears local data.

If you subscribed to FINXI Plus / Pro through the Apple App Store, deleting your FINXI account does not automatically cancel subscription renewal under your Apple ID. You must cancel renewal in your Apple ID subscription settings.

After deletion, the system removes related data according to the feature and storage location. If some data must be retained for legal or technical reasons, it will be handled reasonably under the principle of data minimization.

8. Data security

We make reasonable efforts to protect your data, including using Firebase security mechanisms, limiting cloud sync scope, providing manual backup and restore, and avoiding unnecessary data collection.

However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

9. Policy changes

We may update this policy as features, regulations or the product change. We will notify you appropriately of significant changes.
